Shared Learning
At Atlas we believe that reading is the first and most valuable homework that should be established as part of every child’s daily routine, beginning from birth with regular bedtime stories.
Once in school, your child will have access to a range of reading books to borrow and share with you at home. Pupils have a planner, through which teachers will set specific challenges and homework tasks where appropriate – these will usually be practical or research projects alongside regular reading. The best way in which your child can consolidate their learning is through talking about it and sharing experiences with you. Please speak to your child’s class teacher if you require any further support.
